Lt. Spock, USS Enterprise

Appearance

Spock is tall, broad in the chest, and has impeccable posture at all times.. He carries himself carefully and moves with intention, otherwise his body-language isn't particularly telling. Spock does not fidget or shuffle. He has immaculately kept dark hair, slanted Vulcan eyebrows, and pointed ears. His blood is copper based and, as such, is green. This can be seen clearly when he bruises, bleeds, or becomes flushed for any reason.

Fashion

Spock dresses in either his Starfleet Regulation Uniform--a blue top with appropriate rank markings, black slim cut trousers, and black boots--or occasionally dons one of his three alternate outfits. His closet is not extensive. He has a grey short coat, his dress uniform, and a looser fitting outfit for meditative purposes. That last one includes a robe and sash that he rarely otherwise wears.

Demeanor & Attitude

Spock seems serious and severe when compared against the humans around him. He speaks in formal sentences with precisely chosen diction, adheres rigidly to politesse, and can be almost comically blunt in conversation. He does not smile, nor frown, nor express much of any outward emotion. He seems almost impossibly stoic to outsiders.

But, this is a comparison that falls apart when Spock is held against his Vulcan peers. Spock is actually quite easy-going (bordering on inappropriately casual) by Vulcan standards. He is, insofar as Vulcan has the concept at all, a wild child and a free spirit. He's even quite funny. (For a given value of funny.) Regardless of how Vulcans view him, Spock reads as Vulcan to outsiders and, as such, he seems impossibly dry and uptight.

Voice

Spock has a pleasant mid-range baritone voice. He ennunciates clearly and carefully and speaks at an unhurried academic clip. There is a distinct monotone quality to his speaking, even in emergency situations or when under great duress. However, given the careful control he has over his voice, Spock is actually a capable singer. He does not generally exercise it and prefers playing the lyre, but he can sing accompanyment if pressed.

Plotting

I would love to develop my voice for Spock with just about any kind of interactions, be they funny or serious. I love putting him into Situations™ and forcing him out of his comfort zone. I am super down for writing injuries, danger, and trauma.

With Spock, I'd like to get into the shades of his interpersonal relationships with the crew. He's a weirdo who doesn't quite fit in, but he has friends, how does he interact with them? What are the small fluctuations in his behavior that each of them are responsible for? That sort of thing. I'd also like to look at the parallels that run between Spock and other characters--his family situation, the trauma of losing a sibling or being estranged from them, being compelled not to speak about the whole situation, having an altered perception of time, being a genetic outcast, etc, etc, etc.

I don't have plans to put Spock in a game, but I would love to do Memes and PSLs with anyone else who is down. Please don't hesitate to comment below or PM me if you are interested.
